New Year Blizzard
The very beginning of January brought us a New Year Blizzard. None of us have seen this kind of weather for years and the timing couldn’t have been better. My son had arrived the night before after flying up to get his grandmother settled into her new home near us. Flights were delayed and the family got to spend some unexpected snow time together. A perfect start to the New Year in our new home!
Family Time
The counties in the mountains treat snow and ice on the roads roads seriously. Unlike where Rick and I grew up, the businesses here will delay opening; and schools will close or push back start times. Everyone seems much more accepting of snow travel difficulties. This New Year blizzard was an unexpected treat and we enjoyed every minute of it.
