Moving to the Goat Barn
The two goats are done moving to the goat barn. It took what seemed like forever to finish the barn but the move was over in a blink. Wade and Nessa are companiable with each other and are staying together in one stall. Right now they are very small so it will work. Later on, other does will be with Nessa, and Wade will move until the “boys’ area”. That will be a simple shelter and seperate corral for Wade and our future herd sire.
After Moving
Our trail cams have recorded bears, bobcats, and coyotes so more security is needed. Electric fence will be the prime protection. We will be installing it around the new coop and new goat barn with corral to keep every one of our creatures safe. The nice thing about the location of the barn is that I can look directly down on it from my bedroom window. This has made the babies moving to the goat barn a bit easier. I hope Rick is ready for me to keep the window cracked so I can listen for them too!
